Hanuman Dham

Nanda Devi National Park

One must not miss visiting this UNESCO world heritage site which is famous for its heavenly landscape. It offers views of India’s second-highest mountain peak, known as Nanda Devi. It houses a wide variety of wild creatures and birds including Himalayan Tahr, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Brown Bear, Asiatic Black Bear, and many more. By visiting Nanda Devi National Park, one also gets to witness other mountain peaks like Rishi Pahar, Dunagiri, Kalanka, Changband, Trishul, and several others. The best time to visit Nanda Devi National Park is from May to October.

Rajaji National Park

For wildlife lovers, Rajaji National Park is an extended treat along with the adventure of Jim Corbett National Park. It is another tiger reserve located in the Shivalik range of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. The Rajaji National Park is formed by merging three different sanctuaries including Chilla Sanctuary, Rajaji Sanctuary & National Park, and Motichur Sanctuary. It was established in the year 1983. Though it is a tiger reserve but is known as a habitat for elephants. It houses around 600 elephants, 16 tigers, and 250 leopards. To experience the wildlife adventure and to capture some amazing wildlife pictures, Rajaji National Park is the best to visit. One can visit Rajaji National Park between November to June.

Garjiya Devi Temple

It is a famous temple of Goddess Garjiya, located around 14 kilometres away from Ramnagar in Garjiya village. Being close to Anantum Gateway Resorts it can be easily visited by booking a taxi or cab. The temple is on the bed of the river Kosi and is built on a rock. One can reach this temple by driving through the woods and climbing a steep staircase. The temple houses an idol of Garjiya Devi which is around 4.5 feet tall. Other than the idol of Garjiya Devi, the temple also houses idols of Lord Ganesha, Mata Saraswati, and BatukBhairava. Every year, thousands of devotees visit this temple during the time of KartikPoornima. The temple authorities commence an annual fair every year during this time. One must pay homage to this temple during their visit to Jim Corbett National Park.

Strawberry Farm

As the name says, Strawberry Farm is famous for the assorted range of strawberries available here. It is known as Flying Sparrow Strawberry Farm and is spread over an area of two hectares. It is located at 3000 feet altitude and is quite close to the Bijrani Safari Zone. It can be reached either via elephant safari or by booking a jeep. The farm can be explored throughout the year due to the pleasant temperature. Other than the fresh handpicked strawberries, one can also get jams and jellies made from those fresh farm strawberries.

Nainital

The Lake District and one of the most picturesque hill stations of Uttarakhand.
